Lady Producer Gang

Type: Collective of independent creative producers
Dates: 2017 - ongoing
Collaborators: Adelaide Rief and Vanessa Wright

Lady Producer Gang (LPG) is a collective of independent creative producers. I’m a founding member, along with Adelaide Rief and Vanessa Wright. We established LPG as space to interrogate and explore new models for working is the arts.

We're still in the process of working out what we are. In the meantime, some of the things LPG is interested in include:

  • participatory, playful and public art
  • alternative and non-organisational models for working collectively
  • DIY approaches to creative production

Through LPG, we have set up the Producer Network - a series of semi-regular meet ups and events for independent producers working around Australia.

For more details, check out our website here.

LPG participated in the Next Wave Kickstart Helix professional development program in 2017-2018. This participation was supported through artsACT Out of Rounds Funding and Australia Council Career Development Funding.
